A Living Heritage

India's oldest
dance tradition

First documented in the Natya Shastra by Sage Bharat Muni, evidence of this sacred art form dates to sculptures and paintings from the 6th to 9th centuries CE. For over two millennia, Bharatanatyam has preserved India's stories, devotion, and culture through movement.
